Hazardous waste

Hazardous waste is waste that contains one of more substances, which in such amounts or concentrations pose a risk to the environment and health. This category includes all inflammable, toxic, corrosive or radioactive substances. It is also important to remember that receptacles that have contained these substances are also considered to constitute hazardous waste and must be handled in the correct manner and be delivered to a recycling plant. The recycling plant will find it easier to take care of the waste if the label on the packaging is also intact. If you are unsure, please contact the nearest recycling plant for more information.
