Rechargeable devices such as telephones, tablets and computers should only be charged when the battery is running low to avoid drawing power unnecessarily. Also make sure that the charger is not plugged into the power socket when the devices are not connected to the charger; this also draws energy and is also an unnecessary fire risk.
