A dripping tap may not seem like a big deal, but it means we are wasting about one litre of water an hour or 9,000 litres of water a year. If, instead, the leakage is a jet of warm water as narrow as a match, the cost can amount to 50 euro a day. A leaking lavatory can easily consume 300 m³ of water a year. Quite unnecessarily. If you have a dripping tap or a lavatory, contact a plumber for action. Do no let the cold water run from the tap when you are thirsty; always have a jug of cold water available in the refrigerator.
